About Jessica Leigh
Putting a face to the name. I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jessica and as the name suggests, I am the founder of Jessica Leigh CBT.
I began Jessica Leigh CBT because I had a different vision for counselling compared to other organisations. In my opinion, counselling should be a space, separate to your life, that is just for you. A place that you can take the mask off and admit that sometimes, its okay not to be okay. I had set up Jessica Leigh CBT with a view of just that, a living room relaxed setting, where its okay to not be okay.
I view counselling just the same as visiting the dentist or physiotherapist. We all need a little help in these areas. I feel that what separates me to other counsellor's is that I completely understand individuals going through anxiety and depression, because I have gone through them both in the past. So when we’re talking about your ‘stuff’, I get it, because we all have our own ‘stuff’.
